On June 22, Shelbyville resident James Ward was at dinner with family and friends at Legends Restaurant. Around 7:30 p.m., Mr. Ward suddenly collapsed to the floor. His son, Matt Ward, called 911 while Missy Hood asked other diners for help and if anyone had any medical training. Luckily, for Mr. Ward and his family, an off-duty Paramedic, an off-duty Firefighter/Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, a Registered Nurse, and an Emergency Medical Responder were present and heard the call for help.
