From Cranston PD: The Cranston Police Department’s Patrol Division will now be utilizing eight (8) new automatic electronic defibrillators in police cruisers when responding to emergency calls thanks to a grant awarded by the Rhode Island Public Safety Grant Office. The Department purchased the eight (8) AED’s through the Edward Byrne /JAG formula grant program administered annually for police departments throughout the country, in which the Cranston Police were awarded $ 13,515.
