WEST HAVEN, Vt. (WCAX) Officials at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway say a driver apparently went into cardiac arrest and died during a race.
Terry Stevenson, 62, of Whitehall, New York, was competing in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Super Stock race Sunday. In a statement, track officials say Stevenson had just completed the fifth lap of the 20 lap race when he slowed down for a caution flag and his car drifted into a retaining wall. He was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
