Our In A Heartbeat team would like to sincerely wish you a Happy Holiday season! We hope you are able to unwind and spend some quality time with your family and friends. We had a great month of donating AEDS. We donated 9 and now have equipped 230 organizations, families, and businesses with an AED.
We donated two more AEDS with our friends from Microboard. We are working with them to ensure all schools in CT have an AED within 3 minutes of all locations. This month we donated AEDS to Seymour High School and Bassick High School.
We also partnered with The Korey Stringer Institute (KSI) and their innovATe project. The goal of the innovATe project is to increase athletic training services in secondary schools. This project provides funding for athletic trainer services to underserved schools and districts. We partner with KSI to ensure these athletic trainers are equipped with an AED. We donated 5 AEDS to 5 different innovATe schools.
We donated an AED to the brand new Pasquale G. “Patsy” DiLungo Veterans Memorial Ice Rink in East Haven, CT. Thank you to the Ianniello Family as well as Bob and Melissa Shaw for making this donation possible. The funds to purchase this AED were raised at the annual Michael Ianniello Open. Michael passed away at the age of 33 after suffering cardiac arrest while playing pick up basketball.
Our other AED recipient was Center Street Brewery in Wallingford, CT!
