In A Heartbeat Monthly Newsletter – January 2023

Happy New Year from all of us at In A Heartbeat! This past month was certainly a busy one in the world of sudden cardiac arrest. On January 2, during the Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals, Damar Hamlin collapsed and went into sudden cardiac arrest. Due to an incredible medical staff, CPR, an AED, and an emergency action plan, Damar survived. Click here to read a blog from our friends at Defibtech about how the Chain of Survival was put into action to help save Damar’s life!

We also donated 6 more AEDS last month and have now donated a total of 236. We partnered with Microboard to donate AEDS to Fairfield Prep, Notre Dame Fairfield, Fairfield Ludlowe, Fairfield Warde, and Newtown High School. We also partnered with The Milford Rotary Club to donate an AED to the Milford Fine Arts Center.

In response to Damar Hamlin collapsing we have received over 100 AED Applications from organizations in need. We have launched a fundraising campaign to raise money to help fulfill these application in honor of Damar Hamlin. Click here to contribute to this campaign!
