In A Heartbeat Monthly Newsletter – May 2022

We hit an exciting milestone this past month and donated our 200th AED! We truly appreciate everyone for their support and for helping us make 200 schools, businesses, families, or organizations HeartSafe. Additionally, these two AEDS are the first AEDS that we have donated that will be placed permanently outdoors. Sudden cardiac can strike at any time and it is crucial AEDS are always available within 3 minutes of all emergencies. Our 199th and 200th AEDS went to Tunxis Mead Park in Farmington, CT.

We partnered with Advocates for Health, a nonprofit organization out of Minnesota to donate the AEDS and place them in temperature controlled outdoor cabinets. If you are interested in placing AEDS outdoors in your community, please contact us at any time!

We also partnered with The Korey Stringer Institute to host a Cardiac Screening Event inside Gampel Pavilion at The University of Connecticut. We screened kids between ages 8-22. Additionally, anyone who attended received a CPR/AED demonstration from Quinnipiac University School of Medicine students.
