MANKATO — A nonprofit’s new effort to donate defibrillators to as many area schools as possible started in St. Peter Friday.
Kristen Thomas of Lasting Imprint, the Mankato-originated organization advocating for families dealing with congenital heart defects, delivered the automatic external defibrillator, or AED, to St. Peter High School staff. She’ll next partner with the district in mid-June to train staff and coaches from North Elementary on CPR and AED use.
